D3hockey.com is giving you an unexpected "Road to Placid" podcast double take this week, with additional bonus coverage from the UCHCast. Also hosted by D3hockey.com editor Ray Biggs, the UCHCast profiles the top newsmakers from the United Collegiate Hockey Conference in its inaugural season, and we felt this week's episode was interesting enough to share with the nation as a whole.
Lebanon Valley has been making quite a name for itself in year two. The Dutchmen hold a winning record to start the month of February, signifying a good foundation for the rebirth of Lebanon Valley hockey at the NCAA level after a multi-year period of competitive difficulty years ago prompted the school to move hockey to the ACHA level. Years of success in the ACHA under Don Parsons led the college to resurrect the program in Division III as of last season, and Biggs sits down with Parsons to discuss exactly what it took to take the program forward, the unique opportunities LVC can offer players, the distinct history of hockey in Hershey, Pa and how it's benefitted their program, their recent outdoor game, and what may lie ahead for the LVC program.
