Tommie men's hockey stays hot, caps sweep

Freshman goalie Cam Burggrabe stopped 34 of 35 shots and Brett Gravelle recorded the tying and go-ahead goals to lead St. Thomas Men's Hockey to Saturday night's 3-1 win over visiting Gustavus in MIAC play in Mendota Heights.

The Tommies (9-4-2 overall, 3-1-2 MIAC) capped a weekend sweep and are 5-0-1 in their last six games since Dec. 1.

Alex Trapp scored an insurance goal in the third period. Burggrabe (6-0-1) remained unbeaten on the season.

After allowing two power-play goals on Friday in a 3-2 overtime victory, the Toms killed off four Gustie power-plays on Saturday.

St. Thomas plays Bethel in two games last weekend.
